I would like to find absolutly free government grant information so I can start my own business. Every site I have found has a fee involved. If I wanted to pay for the info I would go to a bookstore. Any information would be much appreciated.

As someone that does grant research for a living I have to tell you that you have to start doing the work and start to research this information in order to find it. That is why other sites charge you for this information because they have already done the work for you.
Realize that information about government grants has to be made accessible to the public because it is taxpayer money which is paying / funding these grants - what this means is that you should be able to find the information about the government grants online or at a public library.
Also realize too that not all grant programs are by the government. There are other grant programs available to individuals from non-government entities as well.
Either you do the work yourself or find someone who will be able to help you find the information on your terms. In the beginning there is a lot of hard work involved in finding these grant programs but it gets easier the longer you do it.
Could someone please send me some of the cheaper pay sites. I've tried going through hud and couldn't find anything. I am a disabled mom who is looking to fix up her house but I can't find any grants I've been eligible. If you can help please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks
I'm sure that you would very much like the website but you have to remember that one of the only reasons that I know about this grant program is because I did the work to find the information for a client.
I can tell you that this is not a government grant program because it is a grant program being offered by an organization. This organization has a website and once you find their website you will also be able to download an application right from their website. They will not charge you a fee for downloading the application - they won't charge you a fee for anything.
This is an annual grant program for minorities that would like to start a business of their own.
Good luck to you!
i need to find a free goverment grant to buy a home i am on disability and have two disabled kids i need one that i dont have to pay back and that is free and i dont have a credit card so i need one that i can pay by money order or that is free i have looked at alot of them and alot of them are scams so if anyone can help
The fee that you are asked to pay is because the company (or individual) has already done the work to find the information about the government grant programs. If you don't want to pay a fee why don't you just go to the government website yourself because there is no fee involved when you go directly to the government's grant site.
You should also be made aware that it's not only the government that has grant programs. For instance if you are a minority then there is a grant program that you may be eligible to apply for. This particular grant program was started to help minorities start their own business. The grant award is $50,000! But first you will have to see if you are eligible to apply and one of the requirements is that you have to submit a business plan.
This particular grant program has a website where you can find out more about it and the past recipients included a woman who started her own film company and another one of the grant recipients started their own catering business. Bear in mind that this is NOT a government grant program but one that is being offered by a non-governmental entity.
I don't have a problem paying the fee, one I found is only $1.98. But I don't have a credit card. Why can't they do it to where you pay when it delivered. I can pay the cash, I just don't have access to a credit card. And if I get a pre-paid I am out even more money. My hushand drowned on August 31st 2008, right in front of me and their was NOTHING I could do. And now I am left with ALL these bills even the house payment (for the next 19 1/2 years)that we just purchased, February of last year. I applied for my disability but have not heard anything on it yet, so now I am going down fast. with NO INCOME...... How do they expect people to pay their bills???? So I to am looking for a totally free grant to help before they foreclose on my house. This was our first house. We always rented before. My husband still does not have a gravestone, I have yet to even pay the cemetary for services. I did recieve a Insurance policy but by the time the Funeral Home got their cut, I didn't have much left.
