hi myname is paula i am looking for help with free grants not any of this its free for one low price i dont have the money if i did i would not be looking for free grants,but i am 41years old kids all gronw expect one and its time for me to live mylife ididnt get to when i should had had kids at the age of 16 and been taken care of them girls are grown married one son is away at texas tech,and my baby is in the 9th grade and its time mom gets some kind of life before its to late i have only waitress and raised kids i was in a wreack that really left me with scars as i have screw in hip and knee which holds a rod in my leg and i do my best to keep going but its getting harder but anyway what i is help getting in toa house of my own and school for massage therapy and i am willing to pay every bit back if i could get any kind of help what so ever i have always done with out cause my kids needed something they came first now its time for mom to get her taken care of so i can leave my kids with something instead of leaven them with just bills i want my grand kids to be spoiled my granny now not later on but if anyone can really help please contact me at pitaliaferro@msn.com thank you

The point is we are trying to locate free information without a fee, that has nothing to do with putting food on the table.  If I pay perhaps 10 people for information, what if that information is not helpful, then I would just be wasting money.  Also a good business owner looks for the best deal, maybe that's what I'm doing when I don't want to be charged a fee. I know there is something legit out there that don't require a fee.  I'm not trying to put food on anybody's table except my own!

I both agree and disagree with both of you.

On the one hand, you have people in need, who cannot afford to pay someone to find the grant information or assistance that is out there. Some have no idea where to begin to look and to pay someone to do the job for them, well, let's face it, it would be pretty damn stupid to pay someone to find you a grant when you can't afford to put food on your table.  Which, I believe is the whole point behind AIDPAGE - people helping people - no cost, free of charge. 

Then on the other hand,  you have those who do not want to put forth the effort. There are some who think they can open a business and suddenly they are swimming in money. IT TAKES MONEY TO MAKE MONEY. If a person cannot put forth the effort to save the money, look for grant funds themselves, or pay someone to locate the grant money for them, you have to wonder how well their business is going to do.Most likely their business will fail and they will lose everything to bankruptcy.

Furthermore, by paying a grant writer, not only are you supporting your small business, but theirs as well. 

What you fail to realize here is that finding the information about grant programs - especially the ones that one may specifically qualify for - takes work - a lot of it - and attention to detail.

Would you say this very same thing about the people that do income taxes for a living?  They should just do people's income taxes for free - yet and still the income tax preparers have bills and families to care for too......

You should also address your "reasoning" to the grantwritiers and other grant researchers out there too and see what kind of response that you get.

Lastly, one of the biggest arguments about government grants, grants and the grant process in general is that this information is available free to the public but it seems that the "public" is having a hard time trying to find the information.  The problem with THAT is that just because this information is hard to find doesn't mean that it isn't out there - its just hard to find!

I do this for a living and I know enough about it to know that there are grant programs out there for people that want to start their own business - depending on the kind of business that they want to start.  If you haven't found the information about these grant programs and whether or not you are eligible to apply for them then you just have to keep looking because the information (and the grant programs) are out there.

If you are going to whine and complain - well let's just see how far that gets you.....

Once someone figures out how to get free grants money, they feel they need to make money off of us poor people by selling the info they found. We can either dig up the money or keep trying to find it ourselves.

As one of those sites that "charge a fee" I have to tell you that the most simplest answer to your question would be for you just to go to the government's website and find the information on your own.

 But you have to understand that its not only the government that has grant programs.  There are a lot of grant programs from foundations and other organizations too.

 I sent a client over 10 pages worth of grant program information about grant programs that her for-profit daycare is eligible to apply for - 10 pages worth of information that took me 30 days to accumulate - THAT is why a fee is charged!

For school money-start at the local college finical aid office. You dont have to enroll at that particular school but they can get you started. FASFA is the first grant i was told i had to apply for (it is on-line)https://fafsa.ed.gov/i ndex.htm It is free. There are links that will charge you...this one is free. From there if you are approved they will tell you what else you qualify for--some finical aid offices are smarter than others so you may have to push. Also work force comission has a program WIA. They will assist you with training programs and paying for them.

hello,I am a 45 year old female who would like to continue my education. I work full-time and I was attending college part-time. Like most of us, I cannot afford part-time tuition. i myself have never found any goverment grants that really are honestand are true to there words.but if i do i will keep posted and will let u know if i do find one thats for real and if u find 1 keep me posted maybe by 2 of us working to find one would better our chances .good luck mark
